Barb - Receptionist

Barb is our longest tenured staff member. With 29 years of experience at the front desk, she has seen it all. Although, there is always something new to learn in the field, dealing with direct billing to insurance is her expertise. Her words of wisdom; A good attitude means everything.

Jessica - Receptionist

The newest member to the Garden City Dental reception team, Jessica greets you with a smile and looks forward to meeting you at your next visit. Being multi-talented, Jessica is also a part-time Nail Technician.

Melissa - Receptionist

Melissa greets you with a smile and is the first person to welcome you when you enter the building. As a long time patient of the office, Melissa transitioned nicely to becoming a key part of the Garden City Dental Centre reception team. She enjoys meeting new people and looks forward to speaking with you.

Debbie - Receptionist

Heading our Accounts Receivable department, Debbie was 10 years of experience. When needing payment plans or finance options Debbie is one to talk to. She especially enjoys the Winnipeg summers by basking in the sun with family.

Connie - Receptionist

Connie would be the person that can help you with any questions pertaining to insurance coverage. As a member of the Garden City Dental Centre reception team for the last five years and a dental receptionist for 16 years, Connie has amassed a very centred approach to navigating the day to day responsibilities of making things more comfortable and convenient for patients. Connie is an excellent cook and loves sharing her meals with her family and friends. "I love working with everyone here at the office, it feels like one great big family".

Michelle - Receptionist

Michelle graduated from the 1st accredited dental receptionist course offered in Winnipeg. Michelle has been in the dental field for over 6 years and has been a part of our orthodontic team since 2008. In her free time she enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her 2 boys and her bullmastiff dog named “Monte”.

Kate - Assistant

As Dr. Santos' main assistant, Kate is always on her toes. A registered phase II dental assistant since 2008, she loves coming to work to see friendly faces, a place where she has established lifelong friendships.

Ivona - Assistant

A veteran to the dental field, Ivona has been with the Garden City Dental Centre since her certification as a registered phase II assistant in 2001. As Dr. Toy's main assistant, she usually knows exactly what he's thinking and is one step ahead. Ivona will be taking a break soon to have a baby and will miss everyone at work, but is looking forward to being a new mom. All the best Ivona!

Chelsea - Assistant

Chelsea graduated from Red River Dental College in June 2010 as a Registered Dental Assistant and began working at Garden City Dental Centre shortly after. She enjoys meeting new people and sharing smiles. When she's not in the office, she spends her time at the gym and with friends. She hopes to see you soon !!!

Rose - Hygienist

A hygienist at the Garden City Dental Centre since 1992, Rose's interests include wood carving, painting and any other crafts she can get her hands on. Her pumpkin carvings are a huge hit during Halloween. On top of this, Rose likes reading, spending time with her dogs and horses, as well as gardening and keeping in contact with old friends.

Harriet - Hygienist

June 1, 2011 marks the anniversary of 30 years since Harriet has graduated from the University of Manitoba’s School of Dental Hygiene. She is proud to say 20 of those years have been at Garden City Dental Centre. She is active in the Manitoba Dental Hygiene Association and at the College of Dental Hygienists of Manitoba. When not involved with dental hygiene, she likes to play ringette, exercise and hang out with her family.

Cara - Hygienist

Cara is always seen smiling with a positive attitude. Outside the office, she enjoys any type of physical activity, as well as the outdoors. Cara is a graduate of the University of Manitoba dental hygiene program and loves being a registered dental hygienist.

Karen - Hygienist

Growing up in the North End of the city and being a patient at the Garden City Dental Centre, Karen never imagined that she would work at the same office her and her family had attended for so many years. A graduate of the University of Manitoba dental hygiene program, Karen spends her spare time with friends and family, as well as working out at the gym. She enjoys the arts, shopping and travelling.

Rhoda - Hygienist

Originally from Winnipeg, Rhoda graduated from dental hygiene school in Toronto. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, playing sports, and working out at the gym. Her career goal is, "to do my best to help patients to maintain a healthy mouth and great smile".
